On Tuesday 28 November 2023, CEC European Managers organises an inspiring afternoon full of exchanges on the role of leadership for action on climate and biodiversity. The world’s biggest challenges call for leadership. That’s why we will explore how we can better support leaders in becoming green agents for change.

This year´s summit is co-hosted by Bergur Løkke Rasmussen (MEP), Niels Fuglsang (MEP) and Maxime Legrand (President of CEC European Managers).

Programme

The focus of this year’s Sustainable Leadership Summit by CEC will be on the role of European leaders and managers when it comes to solving the greatest challenge of our time – the climate and nature crises.

The EU aims at becoming a global climate leader. Thus, there is a need for EU business and public leaders to become climate leaders as well. How can the leaders take on this responsibility? What are the needs and opportunities of leaders and managers? And how can the EU, management organisations, universities and other partners support leaders and managers in becoming green agents of change in European companies and the wider economy?

Climate Leadership Report

The report gathers important insights from leading scientists, climate experts and transition leaders on making leadership fit for climate action. Their finding: it is right now that the basic understanding of the climate crisis must be established in the population, it is now that the basic support for taking action must be established – rather than waiting until the state is forced to use more heavy-handed methods. Leaders have the responsibility and capacity to learn for preparing the increasingly likely scenarios ahead of us.
